Minerals and hazards in the asteroid field
The field mixes rewarding deposits with things that can end your run early. Knowing which is which speeds up your score.

Scoring and how a run ends
Your score is the total value of minerals collected in a single run. Rare crystals are worth more than common ore, so a targeted approach to high-value deposits beats hoarding everything in sight. A run ends when your miner takes too much damage from hazards or you reach the surface with your hold full. There is no time limit forcing you out, but the longer you stay, the more risks pile up.
Tips for bigger hauls
- Learn the hazard patterns first. Dying on the way to a crystal deposit wastes everything you collected.
- Prioritize rare crystals over common ore when both are reachable. One crystal can outweigh a full load of base minerals.
- Use the edges of asteroid clusters as cover. Moving through open space near an energy hazard is riskier than drilling a path through rock.
- Do not overcommit to a deep deposit if your damage is already high. A partial haul finished safely beats a perfect haul lost on the way back.
